You work tirelessly on a mockup for an important client, then struggle when deciding the best way to send your design over for approval. Sending files by email has traditionally been a risky proposition, since the designer has no control over which program the client uses to view the mockup and no way of knowing when his mockup has been viewed.
Now designers can use Mail’ette to organize and present mockups to busy clients and colleagues.
The entire Mail’ette application is driven by email, which means it fits into most designers’ workflows and doesn’t require designers or their clients to get into any new habits.
Uploading a file to Mail’ette couldn’t be easier. Just attach the file in an email, and send that email to a special Mail’ette address. Mail’ette will quickly send you a confirmation email containing a link to a webpage where you can see your mockups laid out.
Quickly add any notes that are necessary to explain your design, and then send your client the provided Mail’ette link to see how the mockup you’ve created actually looks online.
- Mail’ette is a simplified version of many competing applications
- People who use email regularly don’t have to change their workflows or routines
- Clients don’t have to register or log-in to see their mockups
- Designers can get email confirmations once clients have approved their work
- Find out what your client thinks of the mockup you’ve created
- Share your designs with colleagues online
- Give your client an idea of what the page you created will look like on his website
- Add notes to your mockups to provide context when necessary
- Designers can add logos to their Mail’ette pages
- Clients can comment on mockups with Mail’ette’s basic feedback forms
- Mail’ette emails designers once their mockups have been reviewed
- Use the Editor tool to rename, reorder, and share designs at any time

What does the modern day designer do when needing to share designs with clients for approval? Chances are, it will come down to the good old faithful email with bulky attachments which are sent back and forth with recommendations and comments until approved. Mail’ette is a new design collaboration application which simplifies and cleanly delivers all your designs elegantly with feedback forms and a simple one-click approval.
Mail’ette is a great app to get your designs approved the easy way. Here you can email your work to your Mail’ette address and you’ll quickly get a unique link to share that elegantly showcases your designs and your clients won’t have to register, use passwords or learn a new system to view and respond to them. There’s a basic feedback form built-in and one-click approvals. Mail’ette is a unique, no-fuss solution for designers, photographers & creatives.
Mail’ette can be used for client presentations on-site and for conveniently delivering working drafts to multiple decision makers. Another big plus is that many creative companies are on Macs and sometimes there can problems sending files to PC clients. Mail’ette means you don’t have to worry about that anymore.
Mock-ups are full res, so a client can see exactly what a 16px font looks like on their screen and the interface is very professional. Mail’ette presents designs more professionally than if they were just email attachments and clients will love that they only have to click a link to see their designs without having to download multiple attachments – especially when they are on their mobile.
Usually we just have to just take our chances with a rather hit and miss email system to get our designs to clients and here is a fast, reliable and professional way of doing it properly.
Once you’ve used Mail’ette you will be lost without it.
As designers, something we need to consider and keep track of is our ‘brand strength’.
It means everything in our initial client contact, conversions and for ongoing work.
1. Login to your Mail’ette account : http://mailette.com/login/
2. Click on ‘Settings’ and then ‘Theme’
3. Customise your background and color scheme.
If you have a Pro account, you can also run Mail’ette seamlessly from your own domain, for full branding strength.
Like always any questions or feedback just drop us a line firstname.lastname@example.org

Don’t know your password? You can reset it here
Woo! Today we hit a nice little milestone in the development of the app, with our 1000th Mail’ette sent! It’s a really exciting and encouraging milestone for all the team here to see this come around so quickly.
To celebrate, we’d like to congratulate our lucky 1000th Mail’ette sender :
Congratulations Dean, you’ve picked up a year’s free premium Mail’ette account as well as a 12 issue subscription from Wired Magazine. That’s twelve of those deliciously papery-smelling issues coming your way, you lucky devil. We’ll be in touch for some details in the next day or so.
I’d also like to give a huge thanks to all of our wonderful beta users, who have been incredibly generous with their time, helping us to refine the app with all your feedback, advice and comments.
Lastly, thanks to the other guys here, Tom and Adam who have worked endless late nights ( in between keeping our design business running ) to get Mail’ette off the ground and moving forward with development. Developing a web application from scratch, along with gathering feedback and acting on it takes a shit-tonne of work, so thanks for all the effort, dudes.
As we near our next release, and the launch of our commenting and approval system, we are feeling confident that we have a really nice little app here, something that can give real value to designers.
When we do finally launch, please know we could not have done it without all of you.
